Nylon Syringe is to be used with Shell Water Detector capsule, to find out If there is any water in Jet Fuel that can’t be seen with the naked eye. Simply use the Syringe to draw out 5ml of JetFuel and watch to see the colour changes. (Yellow to Blue means that there is a water)
By knowing this, it becomes our early warning and allow us to deal with it before becomes more problems. Since free water in aviation can lead to ice formation, filter blockage and consequent engine failure.
